Master Key system - advantages and application

Master Key system - is a modern mean of access control and security of mobile and immobile property with a single key. Its main advantage is that the system is designed to not only protect the property from outsiders, but also to regulate and distinguish access of authorized persons on the object. Master Key system allows you to change user’s access rights on the object, as well as to expand by adapting the already existing locking products in the built system. Thus, in the Master Key system can be combined door locks, padlocks, locks for equipment, cabinets, drawers and the like.

Examples of Master systems:
1. Keyed Alike (One Key) system - the simplest system. For example, the owner of a country-house can use a single key to open the lock for doors of the house, gates, garage or shed.
2. Central locking. The system is useful in apartment buildings, small hotels or holiday centres. For example, users with the help of individual keys can open the door to their own apartments or rooms and at the same time they have access to the common premises: to open with the same key the front door or the door on the floors, have access to the pool or dining room.
3. The Master Key system and the General Master Key – are complex systems that provide rights on a principle of "tree" or "matrix". Applied on complex objects where there is a need to distinguish the users’ rights.

Master Key system is widely used in the corporate sector and public facilities - public institutions, offices, hotels, holiday centers, schools, hospitals, public catering enterprises, shopping centers, industrial plants, apartment buildings and cottage villages. Advantages of the Master Key system has already been estimated at Leroy Merlin buildmarket, in the Russian-Ukrainian humanitarian gymnasium, in the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, at the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

In the private sector the Master Key system can be used for access distinguishing of family members and employees (maid, cleaning lady, private security) to the premises and to the locked property.

Since the base of access is the key, it must be controlled. Storing and managing of keys should be done using the specially created for this purpose keys control systems: MUL-T-LOCK® Traka 21 and KeyWatcher® from MORSE WATCHMANS.
