Electro-voltage is under safe control of MUL-T-LOCK® locks

Organization of security and access control on the electric power industry enterprises is particularly important, because on the quality and reliability of the locking the equipment that is under voltage depends the health and lives of not only the serving personnel and the employees of the electro-power enterprises, but also the end user. Moreover, with the inappropriate level of locking of the electrical distribution equipment, the unauthorized connection to it is possible, and as a result - a significant material losses of power-generation companies. These issues are relevant not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.

Our partners from the Israeli MUL-T-LOCK® company have recently started a new project with a value of $966 thousand on the organization of the safe locking in the power supply Bedaş company. Turkish Bedaş company with a capacity of 24.2 billion kWh/year provides the electricity to the entire European part of Istanbul, which is about 9.1 million of population.

With the aim of ensuring the secure closure and control access to the equipment of transformer substations, the MUL-T-LOCK® specialists have selected the RIM cylinders on MUL-T-LOCK® Interactive®+ key platform and M10 padlocks. Totally in the project 30 thousand cylinders and 3 thousand padlocks were used.

RIM cylinders were chosen because of their universal compatibility with many surface-type locks and the high security MUL-T-LOCK® M10 padlocks - thanks to their reliability and high performance, even in extreme weather conditions.

In order to ensure a particularly high level of safety and comfort of use of the equipment, MUL-T-LOCK® locks and cylinders on one Interactive®+ key platform can easily be combined in the Master System. In particular, it is possible to build a Master Key system, when one key opens only the "allowed" rooms and One Key systems, in which one key opens all locks.

Professionals of safe locking industry are advised to keep the mechanical keys from the Master Systems in the specially designed for that systems of keys control and monitoring MUL-T-LOCK® TRAKA21 and KeyWatcher® from Morse Watchmans. So you can be sure that the electrical equipment is not only firmly closed, but the access to it has only the certain individuals. Thus, the possibility of abuse by unscrupulous staff and theft is completely excluded.
