  Access control system: secrets of designing, installation and maintenance

  
  How to choose the optimal access control system (ACS) for the client? to ensure a trouble-free operation of the electronic ACS in unstable power supply conditions? to install without damaging doors and other interior elements? Even prepared locksmiths received answers to lots of questions at the "Access control system" seminar.

   

  The event took place in October 22, 2013 in R&D and Training Center of SPV Company Ltd under the guidance of a lead specialist in electromechanical products, Timur Brajnikov. Among participants there were directors, managers and masters-installers from locksmith-centers of Kyiv, Odessa, Bila Tserkva, Kirovograd and Chernivtsi. They examined in details the differences between the ACS actuator elements models which offer SPV Company Ltd. Electromechanical latches Eff Eff, electromechanical locks ABLOY and Bera, electric deadbolt locks YLI and Eff Eff, electromagnetic locks Securitron and YLI, as well as control devices: controllers, readers and accessories Rosslare were in the spotlight of the seminar.

   

  

   

  Orienting in the features of the ACS elements and found out the conditions of use of the system, locksmith will select the optimal configuration and will help avoid unpleasant surprises. Access control systems confidently conquer the Ukrainian market, but for many consumers they still seem complicated – a client needs help – find out what he really wants and which pitfalls of ACS should be avoided. For example, not all users of smart cards Mifare® know that it's not only the ID, but it is also possible to record the internal commercial information (for example, the  visit to the gym or cafeteria on the enterprise territory). Experienced locksmith will find out whether low-skilled staff will use access control system, which is able, for example, to mute the electrocatch, not to open the door each time. If there is such a possibility, the ACS will be complemented with the Eff Eff electrocatch, which is set for a long electric unlocking.

   

  

   

  The participants of the seminar learned how to program empowerment in ACS and time tracking on the example of the online controller Rosslare AC-015. Live debate was caused by common methods of cheating the devices, which fix the time when staff arrive and leave the building. Locksmiths were «armed» with the ways to counteract the bad faith and now they will install the ACS with time tracking which will suit the most demanding employer.
