To set the steering lock shaft MUL-T-LOCK® CSL, you must first determine the location of the clutch fastening (instructions for sizing the lock and the installation place can be downloaded HERE) and clean up the surface of the steering shaft with sandpaper in the mounting place. Evenly pulling screws you should pre-attach the clutch. When performing the above steps, remember that the gap between the parts of the clutch must be even. Pre-fixed clutch must firmly rotate on the shaft. There must be a gap of at least 3 mm between the shaft sleeve and the parts of the vehicle. After this, it is necessary to insert the pin of the steering shaft lock CSL into the grooves of the clutch and turn the steering wheel several times a quarter turn on both sides in order to seal the clutch to fit the steering shaft.

The next step in installing the steering shaft lock CSL from MUL-T-LOCK® will be the rotating the steering wheel of a vehicle to the left until the shaft is locked by the regular ignition mechanism and determining the final position of the clutch. Without moving the clutch on the shaft you need to carefully remove its pin, unlock the regular ignition locking mechanism, turn the steering shaft in a comfortable position to finally screw the coupling. The force applied to the screws must ensure secure fastening of the clutch on the shaft without damaging the screw-thread.
 
The final step on the way to install the anti-theft lock will be check of the ease of establishing and taking out the CSL pin in the locked position of the steering shaft by the regular ignition locking mechanism.
